Gorgon Worms

Humanity first discovered the species later known as Gorgon Worms in the year 2387, on the fertile moon Eribus. the species grows to roughly 10ft tall when extended to their full length , they can live for up to 200 earth years and possess the equivalent intellect of a 9 year old child. the species got its name from their lamp like eyes that detect heat as well as light allowing the creature to literally see through solid matter, the males of the species use their talons to burrow and dig nest bellow the ground, while the females possess a second brain on their backs, that allows telepathic communication to other nearby females. fortunately for the settlers on Eribus the species is not easily aggravated content to extract minerals from the soil as nutrients and allowing the human colonies to be built above ground.

These two design came from a brief that specified humanoid insects I created one other creature but as i chose to develop that one further with some backstory i felt it right it deserved its own post later.

Frog Sketch

a quick work up for a character based processing sketch I did

Wednesday, 8 February 2012

I still don't like my style of drawing but I am definitely improving.
Just realised I haven't touched this blog since 2010, well at least that gives me lots of things I can Upload.

Undead Deck

These designs where for Joe's Undead deck, a deck which I think had the strongest theme. shame it wasn't as competitive as the other if we where to go back to this project i would definitely want to amend that.

Merfolk Deck

I tried to incorporate japanese influences into each Wika design of this set sometimes effectively sometimes less so. This was probably the deck I struggled with the most as generating ideas was really difficult.

Mutant Deck

I kinda went with an old cave painting style for the mutant Wika I assumed being monsters they wouldn't really be going to the effort of making the designs pretty instead using pictograms and of things you would find in the wilderness.

Human Wika

This was the artwork i did for a project at uni these Wika cards acted as a kind of enchantment (if anyone knows magic the gathering) the following ones came in my groups human deck more to come later.
